Tuna hooks must meet high standards of corrosion resistance and strength. The tuna hooks we manufacture are made from thickened 2205 duplex stainless steel and high-carbon steel (to which we apply a super rust-proof coating). 2205 duplex stainless steel comprises a 50% austenitic structure and a 50% ferritic structure. It offers superior corrosion resistance and strength compared to 316L stainless steel, ensuring both corrosion resistance and strength. Furthermore, each tuna hook is forged to further enhance its strength. For tuna hooks designed for heavier lines, we employ a multi-stage forming process and strictly control the service life of the dies to ensure consistency in hook dimensions. Our grinding process involves multiple passes: four coarse grinds, two medium grinds and one fine grind. This repeated grinding ensures the hooks remain razor-sharp. For treble hooks used in tuna fishing, we use hand-welding to create a stronger, fuller and more durable construction.
Generally, the 39960 hook is used.
We strictly control the lifespan of our molds and have dedicated quality control personnel. We also conduct random checks before the hooks leave the factory.
