Treble Hooks Features
The traditional treble hook is a fish hook consisting of three hook blades welded together. It is commonly used in lure fishing, specifically for Hard Baits, Minnow, Spoon, and surface lures. Compared to Worm Hooks, which are also types of lures, treble hooks significantly increase the catch rate of fish and are less prone to fish escaping, making them especially suitable for aggressive fish species.
Treble hooks demand extremely high standards for angle precision, weld integrity, and strength. We strictly control the service life of our treble hook fixtures; each fixture is mandatorily scrapped after welding 300,000 hooks. We use traditional manual welding, which results in fuller, more uniform hooks with higher weld strength. Every treble hook is forged before welding. After welding, each hook undergoes quenching and tempering. We use oil cooling during the quenching process, which ensures the hook’s toughness and prevents breakage.

For standard wire diameters, we grind six times: three times coarsely, twice medium, and once finely, using a chemical grinding process.

Treble Hooks Manufacturing Process
What you see in the video is the production process of treble hooks from single hook blanks. We use high-carbon steel materials and a manual hand-welding method. The benefit of this welding is that the 120° equal angles of the treble hooks are more uniform, and the welding points are fuller without the phenomenon of “cold welding.” This makes the lure’s swimming action more natural.
Treble Hooks Tensile Test
The video shows a tensile test. This is a more intuitive way to observe under how much force the hook can be straightened, how much force the hook can withstand, and how heavy a fish it can catch. This tests the hook’s material and heat treatment process. If the hook is pulled to the point of breaking, it means the tempering and the material of the hook are not good enough.
